Hi I'm Seth

I'm a dad, a husband, a software quality engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

It's 115º here in Arizona and today I'm wrestling with my pool filter, but do I like working with my hands. I enjoy long rides on my motorcycle. I love to tromp into the desert with my family to shoot targets or into the woods for a camp-out. I also enjoy reading; I'm currently devouring the works of Brandon Sanderson.

Why I am a Mormon

Several generations of my ancestors were latter-day saints and it was a priceless blessing to be taught the plain and precious truths of the gospel from my childhood. But it was still necessary to obtain and nurture my own testimony. One aspect of the gospel of Jesus Christ that I find beautiful is that its precepts can be tested. We are invited by scriptures and by modern prophets to ask our Heavenly Father if a precept is not true. We are also promised an answer through the Holy Ghost, if we ask with sincerity. Each time the Holy Ghost confirms to us whether a precept is true and we give heed to that witness, our own testimony in Jesus Christ grows within us.

How I live my faith

First, I look for ways that I can show love to others by serving them. This begins at home, but I also look for ways that I can aid or comfort someone else in my congregation, in my community, or at the office. Prayer is vital for me to live my faith. Through prayer I can stay in frequent contact with Heavenly Father. Everyday I pray for protection over my children, for guidance, for joy in our home.
