Hi I'm Kris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have: Gone skydiving, rock climbing, snow boarding, surfing, scuba diving, spelunking, wake boarding, bungee jumping, white water rafting, bow hunting, alligator wrestling, four wheeling, sailing, and ice fishing. I love being outside! Traveled to Costa Rica, Japan, England, Colombia, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.....I have to travel cheap cause I'm a starving student :) Done a half marathon, a triathlon, a Tough Mudder, and swam competitively. I can complete them, really being competitive is a different story...... I am a 27 year old dental student. I have an amazing family spread all across America. Life has allowed me to cross paths with some amazing people I am lucky enough to call friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel great peace with the way I live my life. As I do the things I know I should, I feel nearer to God and His Son Jesus Christ. The church helps me to keep myself grounded with the knowledge that I am a child of Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer. This reality is my foundation. As I have travelled, studied and experienced life, my faith in Jesus Christ has only strengthened. In both the good and the rough times of this life, I know that the Savior wants the best for me and is always there to listen, to guide and to comfort. Through the Holy Ghost, I have received answers to prayer. From prayer I have come to know that the Bible is true and leads us nearer to Christ. From prayer I have also come to know that the Book of Mormon is another witness of Christ and is scripture. As I try to live in line with the knowledge I have been given, I feel closer to God and at peace with myself and Him, no matter what life brings. I am glad to be alive and I am proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try to do the basics, 1. Read the scriptures daily 2. Pray daily 3. Keep the commandments 4. Attend church weekly 5. Find opportunities to serve people I come in contact with Beyond following these core principles, I try to improve myself and become the person my Heavenly Father knows I can be. Any growth I experience or knowledge I gain is because of the love and the sacrifice of the Savior Jesus Christ.
