Hi I'm Misti

I am living my dream with my wonderful husband and our four sweet kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town. I was involved with music and cheer leading growing up. While attending college I met the most wonderful man and he married me! We now have four wonderful children that I get to stay home and take care of. My husband loves hiking and canyoneering, and it has spread to the rest of us, so our family is often out enjoying mother nature. Besides my family and church, music is my love. I am a singer and a pianist--not professional yet, but a girl can dream! I also love reading, sewing, and I am learning to crochet.

Why I am a Mormon

For me it is simple, I'm a Mormon because I know that is what my Heavenly Father wants me to be. Everything that I do, and all I try to be is rooted deep in the fact that I know that I am a daughter of God. Growing up in a Mormon family it was easy for me to learn and follow the teachings of the gospel. I liked being obedient. As I matured my attitude changed. I of course wanted to continue to obey my parents, but I wanted to live the gospel because I had gained a testimony for myself. I studied the book of Mormon and I prayed about it. Even though I had studied my whole life, I felt it was important for me to take that step on my own and gain my own personal witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I did this, I knew in my heart that it was true. I am grateful everyday for the peace my testimony brings to me.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel brings me so much joy. I get to serve the children in the church. I work with a wonderful group of women planning ways to help teach the children about the gospel and motivate them to gain their own testimonies. It a blessing to work with such sweet kids, and I have developed true friendships with the ladies I serve with, and truly feel they are my sisters. I also get plenty of opportunities to strengthen my musical abilities by playing piano, organ, or singing with our choir. My newest adventure has been directing a mens chorus. They are so fun to work with, I have loved helping them grow as a choir.
