Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm a student, singer, dreamer, wife...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always enjoyed reading, writing and singing. I've been a member of the church all my life, and I consider myself a west coast girl after being raised in Oregon, Utah, California and Nevada. I'm recently married and love being a wife. One day, I hope to also be mother and eventually be a published author. I ended up having to drop out of college due to the recession but education is important and I hope to be back in school soon to finish my English Degree (minor in creative writing!). Nothing is more important to me than my family :)

Why I am a Mormon

My father was raised Mormon and my mother's family joined the church when she was 10 so I've been a member of the church all my life. But I didn't fully understand it and pushed it away and began to rebel. It wasn't until after I moved to Utah that things began to change and, with the help of friends and a loving bishop, I found my testimony again. I started to read the scriptures and to talk to our Heavenly Father in prayer like I never had before. The peace started to feel then (and still feel now!) is wonderful and at times, I wonder how I left it behind. Not too long after that, I met my husband. I finally found someone who didn't mock what I hold so dear in my heart, and that's my testimony of repentance, forgiveness and a God who loves his children so much. Without this church, my husband and I could not be together with our children and our families forever. I can't even imagine any kind of eternity without them. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for our Father and his son, Jesus Christ's forgiveness. I feel their love everyday and know that I am so blessed.

How I live my faith

I don't have a calling in the church, since I have to work every other Sunday. But, I sing with my ward's choir and I love it. I love singing hymns and sharing my testimony through song! In the past, I was a primary teacher for kids ages 7-8. I loved teaching them; they we so much fun and such sweet spirits. Our temple is only an hour away and my husband and I have made it a goal to go there once a month, if not more.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Aubrey
Yes, husband and wife can be together forever. Those who accept the Atoment of Chris and follow is example can be together forever through sacred ordiances performed in one of God's holy temples. Death does not end relationships sealed through these ordiances. Husband and wife will be together in the eturnities and children can be with their parents as an eturnal family. This is all so comforting as my fiance's sister passed away at 17. She and I were also friend in high school. The news of her death was a shock but I was comforted because I know that, because of the way she, her parents and my fiance live their lives, they will be together again. Show more Show less
