Hi I'm Tina
I am a wife and mother of two sons one who just got married and the other who is finishing up college. I am a recent convert to the church and I have never felt so complete as a wife, mother, sister and friend. I love studying the scriptures and spending time with my husband and my family.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm a Mormon because I found the truth and answers to my questions. I am Christian and a believer in Jesus Christ the Only Begotten Son of God. He is the way and the only way back to our Heavenly Father and Eternal Life. I was searching for the truth and the power to truly overcome and repent from my sins. I wanted Understanding and clarity that there was more in this life and the life to come. That I could truly be happy in this life. How could I overcome all the warnings written by John in the letters to the churches in the book of Revelations? These words continually went through my mind " He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. He who overcomes I will grant to.......... But how could I overcome myself and the things I did and said? I never seemed to get beyond one day and then I was back to the same habits feeling defeated, ashamed of my lack of respect for the grace, mercy and forgiveness I was given the day before. How could I repent and really mean it, do it, believe it was possible? I always felt there was something missing in my life and I could not find a church that made me a better person. How could I overcome things about myself that I did not like. The Book of Mormon was the answer to all my questions. The Book of Mormon completed the Bible and was the final piece of my puzzel. I finally found the truth, the truth I had always been looking for. I always had the gift of grace, but I never had the gift of the Holy Ghost. Now I have the gift of the Holy Ghost and I am overcoming and have the ears to hear what the Sprit says. Now I have the power to "Love". And now I am becoming an example of a true child of God a Christian vessel that carries the gift of light unto man. A tabernacle of Flesh.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by faithfully reading the scriptures everyday. I pray continually, thanking God for all the blessings he gives me. I now read the Scriptures with my friends and family who are searching for a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. I volunteer to help others with a giving heart. I have been called as a Genealogy Consultant and have such joy researching family history and helping others learn about their heritage. I now look forward to helping others and not worrying about the time I don't have for myself. I am happy and walk in peace. I now care about being involved and get joy from helping others.
