Hi I'm Nate

I'm an actuary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Missouri but grew up in Idaho. I've been in Colorado now for about 10 years and feel like this is home. I'm a husband and father of three beautiful little girls. I love the outdoors and doing anything in the mountains, which makes Colorado the perfect place for me to be. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in math and statistics and decided to pursue a career as an actuary. Five years and several grueling exams later I fulfilled my dream of becoming a fellow in the Society of Actuaries. Working as an actuary requires you to be analytical and enjoy working with numbers. It may not be everybodies cup of tea, but for me it is a perfect fit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family with seven kids. I learned to love the gospel of Jesus Christ and purpose and comfort it brings to my life. My faith has helped me through some trying times in my life and has helped my family grow closer together.

How I live my faith

One reason I love this church is the active participation of all those who go. It inspires a sense of caring for everyone around you and makes you feel like an important part of other people's lives. I help out on Sunday's teaching sunday school lessons in various classes and helping to organize others for various responsibilities like cleaning the church and shoveling snow after storms. I also visit a couple families each month to make sure they have everything they need and offer up my help with whatever they need.
