Hi I'm Holly

I'm an Arizona native, a wife, and a mother of 4. I am a newborn photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE spending time with my family! Whether it's swimming the pool, having a BBQ, going on a hike, fishing at the lake, camping in our trailer, searching for frogs in the river, baking cookies, playing games, giving service...I LOVE it all! I also enjoy reading, excercising, and cooking healthy food. I LOVE good music! Growing up I spent time every single day, practicing the piano. It makes me smile as I listen to my children practice the piano before heading off to school each morning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church. But even being raised in the church, I still needed a testimony of my own. When I was fourteen, I was struggling...wondering if what I was being taught was really true. I decided to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover all by myself. I continued to read with my family, but spent time reading by myself every night. After months of reading, I finally finished. I happened to be at home alone (which was rare in a house of 7). I knelt down by the couch and just prayed and prayed. I poured my heart out, pleading to know if it was true. I had come to believe that it was, but I wanted to KNOW. I NEEDED to know. A warm feeling rushed through my body and I was overwhelmed with the peace of the Spirit. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he saw our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that Thomas S Monson is our prophet today and that he leads and guides us. I know that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. When we are on vacation, we find the nearest LDS church building and attend their meetings. I'm glad that my children get to see that no matter where we travel, we can go to church and be taught the same things we would be taught at home. I currently serve at church as the choir director. I enjoy studying arrangements to different hymns and being able to feel the Spirit through music. I enjoy attending the temple and try to go at least once a month. I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph the groundbreaking ceremony for another temple being built in our area. I really appreciate opportunities to share my talents with those around me. I am actively involved in helping in the schools. As a family, we study the scriptures in the morning before heading off in different directions. I think it gives focus to our day and helps keep our thoughts on our Savior, Jesus Christ. We also pray together as a family, and I often take the opportunity to pray for each child during this time.
