Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in an Air Force family and later went on to serve for 20 yrs in the Air Force and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 47 yr old that recently retired from active duty service in the US Air Force. I'm happily married and and have 5 great kids. I love to play sports, read, and spend time with my family. A lot of my free time is spent on improving my home and I really enjoy learning new skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. Both of my parents are converts to the church ( my father as a teenager and my mother as an adult). However, I had to learn for myself that the church was true. This came as I spent time reading the Book of Mormon and then praying to find out if it was true. My answer didn't come over night or in some glorious manifestation. It came through a calm peaceful knowledge that what I had read was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I like to think that I live my faith by living a good life. I attend my church meetings and serve in the church. I currently work with the men in our ward ( geographical church group). I help to organize and teach our Sunday lessons and to make sure that the members of our group are visited monthly and that their spiritual and physical needs are being met. I also try to lead my family in daily scripture reading as well as daily family prayer. I feel that these are important activities which help to strengthen my family.
