Hi I'm Wendy

I grew up in Utah as a Mormon. Since then my family and I have lived in Chile, El Salvador and now back in the United States.

About Me

I am a stay at home Mom that loves being at home. My oldest daughter is in college and my 2nd daughter is in 5th grade. We lost our 2nd child, a son, from a virus nearly twelve years ago. I'm so grateful that I had the gospel in my life to help me through such a difficult experience. I enjoy playing tennis, reading, and being involved with school activites.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so grateful to be a Mormon. I was raised in the church but have had lots of trying moments since then in which I had to decide what was important to me. I'm grateful to be able to raise my children in the church. I know it is so important to teach your children true standards at an early age if possible. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is also a true prophet of God. I know that if we listen and obey their words we will not be led astray. I'm grateful for the many blessings I receive daily through the hand of the Lord.

How I live my faith

I love being involved in our church. I currently teach the seven and eight year old children in our church. Eight year olds are able to be baptized so it is really inspiring to be involved with the children who are preparing to make this choice. I also have the calling of visiting teacher. This means that I'm assigned to visit and teach some of the women in our church. I really enjoy this assignment because I'm able to make friends with some of the women in our church and be involved in their lives and them in mine.
