Hi I'm Kristen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, sister, registered dietitian, wife, and mother of 2 boys. I love moving--running, walking, dancing, swinging, even cleaning (if the right music is on). I love my family; they are my joy! I am so proud of my husband and boys. I think being a mother is hard. I am learning a lot about myself and who I want to be through the experience of being a stay-at-home mom. I feel so blessed to be able to do it.

Why I am a Mormon

It's the many, small moments of peaceful assurance that, compiled all together, leave me without question as to the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My life, when left to myself and my personality, gets hectic. I feel such a stark contrast when I open the scriptures, when I read the words of latter-day prophets, when I attend the temple and my church meetings, when I pray, and especially when I talk to my children about Jesus Christ and His gospel-- I feel peace. I feel the truth of the gospel. I feel happier and more motivated. And I love those feelings.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the counsel of the living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson; I try to study the gospel with my family, help those around me, and serve at church through teaching the children about Christ. I'm definitely not perfect in applying all of the teachings of Christ yet in my life. But, because of what Christ did for me, I am able to get up again each morning and try again.
