Hi I'm Lorrie

I grew up part of a military family and experienced many changes in friends and places called home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single mom, who enjoys gardening, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with my son. I have learned to be flexible and love meeting new people. Being single and not close to family, my friends are a very important part of my life. Laughing and sharing new experiences with those friends brings me great happiness which fills the void of not having family close by.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of joy. Heavenly Father wants us to feel that joy. By following the principles of the Gospel we can feel joy in many things. I find joy in serving others and helping them to weather their burdens or trials. Jesus Christ was an exemplar in serving all those he came in contact with. His whole mission on earth was service and He taught us to love and serve others by being selfless and kind, patient and long suffering. I try to follow Christ's example in my daily activities when opportunities of service arise. The Gospel brings peace to my life through all my lonely times and helps me to find the joy in the simple things of life that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. Whether it be the beauty of the earth or the peace of solitude or the happiness in being with friends and family, He blesses me everyday.

How I live my faith

I have many opportunities which allow me to serve others by working with the youth, through teaching on Sundays, or making personal visits to women in my church each month and sharing a spiritual message with them. I have seen the Gospel change people's lives as they increase their faith in the Savior and His teachings. Iknow that He loves us and we feel His love each time we reach out to those in need. Recently I participated in a community food drive where we went door to door to collect items for the foodbank. It was exciting to see my neighbors reach out to others by making donations and getting to share a little bit about my church along the way. I am happy to answer any questions people may have about my faith so they have a clearer understanding of my beliefs.
