Hi I'm Teri

I am a wife and mother of three boys. I have a degree in microbiology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of three sons. My oldest son is serving a mission for the church. I have worked for many years as a microbiologist, but now I am staying home full time with my children. I enjoy reading, playing volleyball and working with young people.

Why I am a Mormon

My family were members of the church and raised me in the church; however, there came a time in my life where I had to know for myself that the church was true. As a teenager, I studied the Book of Mormon on my own in earnest. I frequently prayed about what I was reading, and each time I felt the strong feeling that it was true. I began to pray about other aspects of the restored gospel and received that same feeling. In addition to the feelings I have received, I have seen evidence that my life has been better, when I have followed the principles of the Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I participate in my local church by working with the teenage girls. We teach classes as part of our Sunday worship. It gives them a chance to learn and use their knowledge to help them with the specific circumstances related to their lives. I also meet one weeknight each week with the teenage girls. During these meeting, we help them develop skills such as simple sewing or preparing college applications. We also have fun. The most important work I do with the teenage girls is to help them understand how special they are as daughters of our Heavenly Father.
