Hi I'm Patty

I'm a Mormon convert of 54 years. I'm an idendical twin. I have 4 children, 17grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

About Me

I am an active 78 mother of 4, grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 14. I love to read, crochet and knit, travel, and enjoy all of my family. I am an identical twin which is always a fun experience when we are together. I love to go to lunch with my daughters and especially with friends. I have lived in 5 states and visited many others. As a younger woman I loved going to the lakes and water skiing and camping. It was also fun to go fishing in the mountain streams with my husband and his family, though I wasn't much of a fisherman myself. I have always lived in the Western United States and love being a westerner!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Protestent religion which taught me the Bible stories and about Jesus. As I grew older I taught Sunday School to the children. However, I always felt something was missing, and could never be satisfied by the answers I received from my Pastor and others. One day the Elders came to my parents door and were happily received. They in turn invited me, my husband and twin sister to join the discussions. We were baptised as a family 53 years ago. I received all the answers I had been looking for and knew when I heard this wonderful message it was what I had wanted since I was a very young girl. Heavenly Father heard my prayers and sent these two wonderful young missionaries to give me the truth I sought. I have never regretted my decision to leave my childhood religion and embrace the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father continues to answer my prayers and strengthen me in times of need. I love my membership in His Church and am grateful I have been able to raise my children in the Church of Jesus Christ. Now I watch them and their children teach my great-grand children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively particiipating in the opportunities the Church offers to serve others. I attend an adult Institute class weekly, as well as Sacrament Meeting, Sunday School, and Relief Society each week. The Church and its doctrine is my live and brings me great peace. I have also served as a missionary for my Ward, my Stake and a full-time Mission in Independence, MO, USA. I study my scriptures daily, have my prayers morning and night and inbetween. I have taught in the auxillaries with the youth, the teens and the adults. I attend the temple nearly every week and gain so much strength by doing so. I would not change my life for any reason even with the all trials and challenges I have had. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I know the gospel is true and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church on the earth today.
