Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in Indiana. I am an Event Coordinator & have a passion for the arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’ve graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision with a minor in Art & Design, and am currently the Director of Events for a conference center and hotel. I will always love Purdue Basketball. Life thus far has taught me that it is only as fun as YOU make it, so I love trying new things and strive to have a positive attitude. Family is very important to me and I particularly love spending time with my 5 year old niece and 11 year old cousin. I’m constantly learning from them. My hobbies would consist of playing the flute, volleyball, being outdoors, live music, drawing, and movies. Creating things, photography, and architecture are a few of my passions.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents are not of my faith, I've had the opportunity to attend the LDS Church with my grandparents since I was very young. Having this unique up-bringing, I've had the opportunity to truly decide for myself if these beliefs are true. There is nothing else on this earth that has brought me closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that I am a daughter of God, who loves me very much, and that through the Atonement made possible by our Savior, Jesus Christ, we can return to our Heavenly Father once again and be happier than we could ever imagine. I’m not a Mormon because I believe this to be true, but because I know it is true. There have been too many instances in my life that have illustrated the Lord’s hand in my life and the truth of this Gospel for me to ever deny it.

How I live my faith

I am definitely not perfect and have my good days and bad, but I strive every day to live my faith by applying the teachings of the Savior to my every day dealings with others. Every morning I wake-up, I try to look for ways to help others and to “get over myself”. I read the scriptures daily. I pray to the Lord to seek counsel on how I can come closer to him, what he would have me do, and to show my gratitude for the countless blessings in my life. When it comes down to it, I know that we are here on this earth to show love to one another, which is the best way I know how to live my faith: by showing others that they are loved and are very special. I strive to live a genuine and honest life, in which whenever I am doing business with others they can appreciate that and trust me, knowing I strive to do what is right and am willing to make sure my business dealings are true and honest. This strengthens the relationships I have with clients and business partners because they know they can count on me and have faith in my ability to conduct any business manner professionally and honorably. I value this very much, and know that my faith is what guides me to live my life in this wayr. I enjoy participating in my community, whether it is volunteering at legal offices, tutoring children, helping out at local soup kitchens, picking up trash to beautify our community, or volunteering at local schools. I am currently involved in a church program called the Compassionate Service Committee. Being involved with this committee has strengthened my desire to love others and to stop and take the time out of my day to serve others whenever an occasion arises. This has helped me come closer to my Savior and to love others as he does. It is my hope that by learning to love others, I can help others feel a mere glimpse of how much our Heavenly Father loves us.
