Hi I'm Kim

I love being a wife, a mother, a grandmother... I love big dogs, big horses, my Harley, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 7... 6 girls and a son (now deceased from a motorcycle accident). I am grandmother of 10 (so far) .. 8 girls and two grandsons. I love sharing time with each of the kids and grand-kids. I am married to a fantastic guy who is a worthy priesthood holder. We love the outdoors..whether it is rock climbing, backpacking, horse riding or service projects you will find us there. I am currently working horses in dressage (well...one anyway) and love hanging with my deaf and/or deaf/blind friends. I interpret professionally but have put that on the back burner to teach release time seminary. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ Rocks! I grew up in a family that sometimes attended the LDS church. My father did not want to attend. My love for my savior was hidden in the confusion of 'one parent loved the Lord and one ignored the Lord' . I decided I needed to choose. At age 19 I took my first step to find truth for myself. I moved from home, attended an LDS college. I had time to search and find for myself. I found what I was looking for... the seed of faith that was inside of me began to grow. Now I teach full time the gospel of Jesus Christ to high schoolers everyday. It has been a blessing in my life to know and teach those beautiful truths. I love the Lord. I love my Heavenly Father. He lives and loves us and knows us. He allows our growth so we can know Him for ourself. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a miraculous gift that is free for all. Accept and enjoy!

How I live my faith

I teach the youth of the church daily in a program that allows our high school students (ages 14-18 years old) to leave the high school and come attend a religion class for an hour out of their day. It is a wonderful opportunity to read the scriptures... Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants (church history). I also have a call as a ward missionary. This gives me an opportunity to interact with those in our area who are searching for the gospel truths. What a blessing it is to see someone learn the joys of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also serve as a Sign language interpeter for our hearing impaired deaf friends. I attend other wards each sunday to provide this service. The Lord has blessed me with this gift and I love to use it as frequently as possible. It is a joy to make sure even our deaf friends have the gospel given to them in their language.
