Hi I'm Kim

I love animals! Im a wife, a vegan, a wardrobe stylist, makeup artist, a fake hair designer, a fire dancer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im vegan and I love to cook! I make my Living as a Corporate Banker but my passion is art and fashion. I'm married to the most wonderful man ever and we are starting a family. I love guinea pigs and have a small herd of them. I love to dance! Im taking fire dancing classes and its so much fun! I design clothing and fake hair and I am also a makeup artist. I love all aspects of the fashion industry. I am not your typical Mormon (if there is such a thing) its probably most evident but not limited to,my appearance. Im covered in tattoos, and have multi colored dreadlocks. I have heard that it's fun to watch people watch me when I'm walking into the temple! (which by the way is the most amazing place on earth.)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a God centered home with loving and supportive parents and attended church all my life, but felt that there was something missing in my relationship with Jesus Christ. When I met my husband he was member of the church but inactive. Through getting to know his family and talking with his sisters, I slowly gained a testimony of the restoration of the gospel, the Book of Mormon and of the true church of Jesus Christ. I went onto mormon.org and requested sister missionaries to come teach me as well as chatted with sister missionaries on the website. I will never forget my sister missionaries, the lessons they taught were so amazing and such a comfort to me. Through reading the book of mormon and the words of the prophets I have a level of peace and happiness in my life that surpasses anything I had ever felt before. I truly feel reborn. Having my husband return to activity has also been amazing. Our marriage is stronger than ever because of the gospel. There are so many blessings that i have recieved by making and keeping my covenants, too many to even count. My husband and I were sealed in the temple this year and we love going back whenever we can. The temple is the most amazing place on the planet. I think it has chaos proof walls. It really puts life into perspective going there.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week, I love it, its the thing that fills my "faith cup" for the week to come. I renew my promises that I made to God at my baptism. Im on a committee that organizes fun activities for the women in my ward, we have a really good time! I have just received a calling to be a visiting teacher and have an awesome companion, we are so excited to visit some of the less active gals in our ward. Sometimes I facilitate lessons in our Gospel Principles class. I love giving talks and sharing my testimony with people. My ward is very accepting and loving. They welcomed us with open arms and didnt even bat an eyelash at my strange appearance when I very first started coming, (my husband and I are both dreadlocked and goth.) I live my faith by example in my behavior and that has been the most effective part of how I have gotten others interested in the church. I like to call it "Bearing testimony by example."
