Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a proud stay at home mother of soon to be four. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I homeschool my kiddos which brings me a lot of purpose to my days. I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was in college. I graduated with a degree in political science and am looking forward to doing some grass roots campaining with my kids in the upcoming election. I love to get lost in a good book, though I have to watch myself carefully or all else might get neglected!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had faith in Christ. I grew up in a strong christian family and never had the desire to seek out a different religion. I did love reading about other faiths in high school and learned about "mormonism" in a questionable book. After reading these things I sought out a few mormons for clarity and was struck by their standards, strong spirit and desire to do the will of God. I wasn't humble enough to give their church credit for it. As I prepared to go out of state for college I prayed for guidance in my life and that I would be led to the church where I belonged. After many failed attempts at hooking up with protestant college groups I finally accepted the offer of a fine friend to join him at his church. My heart was being prepared. I was afraid of what my family would think of me if I converted, but I had this burining inside that I knew from the conversations I was having with my friend that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I was finally in a place where I could accept the truths of the gospel. I met with the sister missionaries and I felt the Spirit confirm to me that what they were saying was true and that my life would be the best it could be if I accepted their offer to be baptized and join the church. I remember envisioning what I wanted my future family to be like, how I wanted to raise my children and I knew the church was the vehicle to get me there and to get me back to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I have been a member for 10 years and know each day that I made the right decision. I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

When I prayed to be led to the right church, I specifically prayed to be involved with the youth. I have been so blessed to teach and learn from the young women of the church. They are so valiant in living up to the standards they've been given. They are such wonderful examples to those around them, including myself. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve them and others in the church and community. I truly believe that we are most fulfilled through serving others and following our Savior's example.
