Hi I'm D'Arne

I am from the sunny Queensland Australia. I have a beautiful baby girl and I have been married just over 2 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have done a Bachellor of Nursing and I am currently studying my Masters in Mental Health. I love to keep active and living a healthy lifestyle. I also love to cook and try out new recipes.... (though not everything I make turns out very well... ). I would love to have a big family, but at the moment I have just one 8 month old who keeps me busy.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of this church. I was baptized when I was 11 but I didn't grow up going to church regularly. It wasn't until I was about 16 and I met a really fun and lovely guy. We became friends and I loved how happy and positive he always was. It wasn't until after a little while I found out he is a Mormon. I then became more curious about this religion I was a member of though was never really active in. I found my Book of Mormon and some music by the Tabernacle Choir. And that was it. I started to feel that amazing happiness and joy that i had envied in my friend. I was so excited to learn more and to find out how I could continue to feel this happiness. I started to attend church and activities and the more I read and studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible and prayed, the more I felt that this really is the true church. After experiencing life without the church and then with the church I can really say that nothing else the world has to offer has ever made me feel so full and offered such true lasting joy.

How I live my faith

I teach the 14-15 year old girls each Sunday and each Tuesday night we combine with the other youth in the church and have an uplifting and fun activity. I also visit a few women in the church each month and see how they are doing, if they need help with anything, share an uplifting message and generally just be their friend.
