Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life for me is centered around our family. My wife and I have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. We spend time together playing games, swimming, eating, watching movies, playing sports, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a strong member of my faith since I was a teenager. As a teenager I spent a lot of time reading, pondering, praying about the path I wanted to take in life. My path became clear as I read the scriptures and prayed to my Father in Heaven. I have a strong belief in God - that he is a real being, my Father, the Father of my Spirit and of every person on earth. I believe in HIs son, Jesus Christ. I believe Christ is my Savior, and the Savior of everyone. The great, positive message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that every person will live again because of Christ's sacrifice for us. No one will be left behind. Overall, I'm a Mormon - a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latted Day Saints because it makes me happy and brings me peace and hope.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church with the Young Men ages 14-16. I love these young men. They are a great example of the goodness of the rising generation. Everyone in the church serves in some capacity. We have no paid clergy, so everyone is called on to help with all aspects of our worship - teaching, music, serving the youth or young children, organizing activities and sports programs, etc. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings us all together to help each other to become better and serve one another.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is like being part of a large family. Your local congregation (ward) becomes like an extended family. Your day to day life is spiritually focused through personal prayer, scripture study and you join with the other members of the congregation and your family for Sunday worship, and occassional recreational or service activities. Weekly family nights with your family or with other church members focused on a spiritual lesson, an activity and song and prayer brings a close knit feeling to your family. Serving in the church adds another dimension of involvement which allows you to make friends, develop your talents and serve others. Show more Show less
