Hi I'm Malcolm

I come from England now live in America I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Malcolm( Mal ) to my friends i also prefer it to Malcolm,I am 60 years old married, father to 4 children & step father to 3 more, all our children apart from one are married and have children of there own so we have 8 grand children, my career has been in Training and Health & Safety i have been self employed and have worked for some big companies such as British Airways at Heathrow Airport in the UK and the Postal service in the UK . Have also been a truck driver for many years. My interests are in drawing when i can and shooting when i can both of which depends on how the grand kids are behaving themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

Before i became a mormon i was not a religious person but was not a unbliever,I became a Mormon and was baptized in 2007 i first started to investigate in 2006 after talking to and agreeing to listen to missionary sisters when they visited my wife as she was a member already and i told them that i would not become a member so do not try to convince me but i listened and started to read the book of mormon and not to bore you with any long story but that was that as they say as soon as i started reading i knew that i would become a member at a later date, the book of mormon answered some of the questions that i had, i could not stop reading since being baptized my faith has gotten stronger and stronger also reading the scriptures helps me to understand some of the challenges that we all have in our lives and how to deal with them these 2 books i think should be in every house, having God in my life has changed me as a person i am more relaxed and more peaceful and i have found that i can cope in a better way.i am sure that the spirit is with me most of the time would be untrue if i said all of the time.

How I live my faith

My first calling was in activities arranging things to do for my ward we had Treasure hunts, quiz nights we gave gave small prizes as my ward at the time was small, my calling now is 2nd assistant to the high priest which is a very good way to meet other members and get to know them as is the home teaching which i find very rewarding as this gets the lords word into members homes i must say that i am blessed with this calling, i would like to get more involved with my community projects when they come around but i am restricted to a point without transport also my calling keeps me quite busy.I do my best to live by the gospel but find it a challenge in this mortal world without our Heavenly Father it would be even harder.
