Hi I'm Cami

I am a wife, a mother, an organizer, a baker, an accountant, and a teacher. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, an organizer, a baker, an accountant, and a teacher. My husband and I have been married for nearly 12 years. We have three beautiful, amazing daughters who constantly keep us hopping. I have a Master's in Accountancy, I'm a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), and I'm a CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant). I have worked at a CPA firm and as a supplemental author for accounting textbooks. Currently, I have chosen to be close to my children so I work at their school as an instructional assistant and math teacher. I have learned that I love being in the classroom and being a part of helping each child learn and grow. I can often be found in the kitchen whether by necessity of feeding my family or for the pure pleasure of baking. I love to bake many foods from scratch and experiment with new recipes....especially desserts. I thrive on creating an organized space. My life is full and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, so I have always been a Mormon. However, this is not the reason that I am Mormon. I am Mormon because as I was taught the different principles, I knew that they were true. One time in my early twenties, I began to wonder how I knew that all these things were true as I had never had a miraculous moment telling me that what I had been taught was true. As I prayed about this, I realized that I didn't need some big miraculous moment but that little by little, precept upon precept, I had learned that Heavenly Father loves me, Jesus Christ is my Savior, Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, the Book of Mormon is a true book, there is a prophet here on earth today, and that families can be together forever. So, I am a Mormon because I believe and know that what I have been taught at church my whole life is true and I want to live my life so that I can return and live with my Heavenly Father someday.

How I live my faith

Some of the ways that I live my faith are by going to church, praying, studying the scriptures, teaching my family, and acting as a cub scout leader in our ward. One of the most important ways to me that I live my faith is obedience to what that Lord tells me is right for my family. A few years ago, my family and I were living across the country in a different state. Over the course of a few days, it became apparent to us that it was time for us to move our family to a new location. This was a hard decision to make as we knew that in the new location we had no jobs, no home to live in, and no school for our daughters. However, we started making plans anyway. As it turned out, before we left our previous location, my husband had a job to come to. Before we arrived in our new location, we had found a home for our family to live in. And within the first few days of school, our daughters were accepted into a marvelous school that is perfect for them. Little by little everything fell into place because we were living our faith and striving to do as the Lord had commanded us to do. Now, we have received many blessings that we would not have otherwise received.
