Hi I'm Charles

I grew up in Laidley. I started a school for ants. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like motorbikes, cars, and pretty much anything that's fast or goes "VROOM VROOM!!". Big fan of good music, well directed movies, and great food. Enjoying any of the above with good friends and family make the best days! I work full time and also study & although it's sometimes difficult, I get a lot of satisfaction from pushing myself and ensuring I'm using what time I have, "effectively" =D

Why I am a Mormon

Well the simple version of the story is, I one day found the motivation to push myself to be worthy of the conviction I wanted, in knowing if it's all true or just another good story. The result of that experience was a feeling, received immediately after posing a question in prayer. An undeniable, soul engulfing, doubt purging, permanent conviction sustaining feeling. It's funny... I spent my whole life hearing all the classic christian clichés but still felt like yelling to all those who said them, "Why didn't you just TELL me that God answers prayers?!" with the obvious realisation "Oh that's right, I've been hearing that for years." So I now I stand with the millions of others, quoting the "classic christian clichés" in the hopes that others give it an honest try & they too find out that "they're not just saying it".

How I live my faith

My conviction has left me aiming for perfection in everything! With the sure knowledge that I can get there ONE day, leads me shooting for it every day. A key lies in understanding that it can't all be done at once, and it won't happen overnight... ... but it will happen =D Taking into account all that could lead me to be more like the Saviour, such as responsibilities relating to family, friends, work, community, church, etc. sustaining faith (and sometimes sanity :P) comes with prioritizing the aspects of my life, and just working on whatever feels most important, first. What seems to be the focus in my life of late is service projects and working with the youth. Taking every opportunity to lighten the load on others (even when their load may not appear all that overbearing) and sharing what I know with everyone and anyone that's willing to listen. I can honestly say that nothing in my life has greater value or brings greater satisfaction then when I'm honestly striving to live like the person I want to become.
