Hi I'm Natalee

I'm getting my bachelors degree in human and family development. I'm a new mother of a beautiful little girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. We just had our first little girl a few months ago and we are having so much fun watching her learn and grow. Both my husband and I are students. I am a few semesters away from graduating with my bachelors degree and my husband will graduate this December. Its been a lot of hard work but I know that it will all be worth it in the end. Then hopefully we will be off to Dental school next fall! My husband and I love to be active and spend as much time with family as possible. I love to run and have trained for many races over the years. I have dreams of running a marathon, hopefully I'll get there one day! I love to sew and I love to bake. My new obbsession has been cake balls. If you haven't had one you are missing out! We love to travel and we have traveled all over the world. Our favorite place to vacation is Disneyland. We usually go once if not twice a year. We are probably the biggest Disney fans that you will meet. We love to go to baseball games and really any other sporting event that we can. Although we love to be active and busy we love to sit down at night and watch a good movie. Its the perfect way to end a busy day.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been in the church for generations and generations. I have their great sacrafice to thank for my involvment in the LDS church. My parents taught me the teachings of the gospel from a very young age. We went to church every week and were always involved in all our ward activites. When I was eight years old I made the decision to be baptised. Even though I was only eight years old I remember the warm spirit that rushed over me as I was baptised. I knew that I had made the right decision. I have often studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible and have had repeated impression that this is the true church. I feel so much peace in my life because I have a full understanding of the plan of salvation. I am grateful that I have the blessing of the temple in my life. I know that I am going to be able to have my family forever. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior. I am a mormon because I know this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been restored by him through the mouth of the prophets. Just as it was in the times of the Bible. This gospel brings such joy into my life. I am grateful for its light in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those in my community. When I was in high school I had the opportunity to be president of a youth committee. We arranged to have a special prom that met higher standards. There was appropriate dancing, music and dress. We had a wonderful time and we didn't have to worry about lowering our standards. Now that I am an adult I have had the opportunity to serve with the youth in my area. We would plan weekly activities and I would teach them every sunday during church. While serving with the youth I have been able to attend a summer "girls camp" where we teach young girls to be proud of who they are to strengthen their testimonies of how much their Heavenly Father loves them. I have also had the opportunity to serve in a non profit organization that provides free dental services the people of Dera, Ethiopia. I live my faith daily by reading my scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. I try to live my life the way that Christ would have me do. I try to develop his qualities and apply them to my life. I'm not perfect, not even close. But I try to make him proud of me, and proud of the way I live.
