Hi I'm Roger

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Even though I grew up in southern California, I have lived most of my life in Colorado. I enjoy my work in the medical field but I also enjoy hobbies, such as house remodeling, photography, woodworking, and hiking in the Colorado Rockies. I am married to an astounding wife and together we find joy in the little and big things of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not born a Mormon. In High School, I was looking for something more than the Christian faith I grew up in. I asked many questions to a Mormon friend and was always rewarded with a sound answer. Coming to believe in a personal God was monumental! Through all the questions, teaching and studying, the overriding concern was for me to find out individually for myself about the Mormon Church. The answers and the faith came from prayers and revelations from God. Simply reading a book or being with friends or even finding logic in the doctrines and teachings were not sufficient. Only revelation from God can be the true answer. Jesus Christ, His doctrines, His pure love, and His teachings have all been magnified and taken on deeper meaning to me since joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Is one supposed to leave his faith and religion at the door when he leaves church on Sundays? I used to live that way as a Christian. Now I live my faith every day—not just on Sundays—by reading scriptures daily, praying daily, and working to have a Christ-like spirit with me at work and at home. I am grateful that I am asked to help and serve others. I strive to give my best, and to bend my will to Christ.
