Hi I'm Mike

I recently moved to Arizona from California with my wife and three kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Northern California and have always enjoyed my associations with other members of the Mormon faith. I enjoy the spending time in the outdoors spending time around the campfire. My hobbies include reading (all genres), organizing social events (such as UFC fights with the guys) and meeting new people. One of my favorite things to do is BBQ. A perfect day for me would include putting on a BBQ for family and friends. I have hosted and BBQ'd for parties as large as 50 or smaller, more fancier date nights with the wife and friends. I have a BS in Criminal Justice, have dabbled in Law Enforcement, Law School, but have come back to one of the things that I have do best. I currently work in the GIS Software industry and am Manager of Sales and Support for a company based out of South Carolina. We Recently moved from NorCal to Arizona to get a new start on life. I am looking forward to building a strong base of family and friends here as we start a new beginning.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and strength that I follow as I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. My family started going to church when I was young and I have never stopped going. I remember a Sunday as a child when everyone in my family was sick except for me and I made the decision to not stay home, but to attend my meetings. Since thing I have appreciated the blessings that my Father in Heaven has given me. In high school I was able to build a strong group of friends that shared my same faith and we stuck together. This bond continues today and we can draw off each other in times of need. At the age of 19 I decided to serve a 2 year mission for the Church. I was assigned to go down to Peru and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Peru. This was a time for me in which I really became cemented in my faith. I knew prior to leaving the that Church was true, but going to Peru and seeing lives being changed as people accepted Christ as their Savior will be an experience that I will never forget. I remember teaching the message of Hope, and Peace to people who literally did not know were their next meal would come from and see the joy in their eyes as they grew in their faith in the Lord. I remember making promises to people in the name of God and seeing God make those promises come true. I know this gospel is true. The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful wife who makes me better each and everyday, three kids who can always bring a smile to my face and the peace and comfort that I get in knowing that families are forever. This is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith the best that I can each and everyday. One of the big ways that I live my faith is by being honest and trustworthy in all of my doings. I believe that in order to properly live your faith you must walk the walk or talk the talk. I try to always follow the teachings of our Church. I find without a doubt that when I am following God's plan, I am happier and more blessed. I live my faith by being faithful to my wife and honoring my family. Because of my work I spend a lot of time on the road. While away from home, I show respect to them by doing things that would make them proud. I live my faith by looking for opportunities to server other's. I have found that true peace and happiness can come by following the example of Jesus Christ and helping others.
