Hi I'm Josh

I'm a nurse, I am in graduate school and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three boys. As a family we love to go camping, hiking and swimming and just enjoying the outdoors. I am a nurse by profession and what I love about that is the opportunity it provides me to get to know and care for other people. I love to learn and feel blessed to be in a career that allows me the opportunity to always learn and grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon and have always felt at home in the church and comfortable with the gospel. As a teenager I began making choices that did not align with the teachings of the gospel. It did not feel honest to attend church on Sunday and not live according to the gospel the rest of the week so I stopped going. It was many years later after I was married that I decided to start attending church again. I was not happy and felt as though my family was falling apart. I remember working one day and having the immense feeling that it was time for me to go back to church. I can to this day remember exactly where I was, what I was doing and the profound feeling that I had. I was familiar with the gospel and the power of the Holy Ghost to provide answers or direction when needed but had never felt anything so profound before. I went home that evening and told my wife that I wanted to start attending church and she agreed. It was a few months later that the missionaries started giving her the discussions. She was baptized shortly thereafter and one year later we were sealed in the temple. I can honestly say that the decision I made on that day to follow the prompting I had was the single most important and correct decision I would ever make in my life. I know that my life is blessed each day by living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of the power of the Holy Ghost, it has changed my life immensely and I have seen the effect it has had on others around me. I have a testimony of the importance of families and that they are an integral part of Gods plan for us. My family is the single most important thing in my life and the source of my greatest joy. I am reminded each day of how precious life is and am forever grateful to be part of an eternal family.

How I live my faith

As a youth my home teachers had a tremendous impact on me. I loved to listen to them when they would come over and anxiously awaited for the time when they would come next month. I hope to be that kind of home teacher some day. I love to be able to visit with and get to know the families that I serve each month. I love to participate in service activities and am happy that we have opportunity to do often. Helping others is a very rewarding experience, both for those serving and those receiving service.
