Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 57 years old and just celebrated my 35th anniversary with my wife. We are the parents of 5 children and are grandparents to 11 grandchildren. I am a systems engineer at a manufacturing facility. I love all sorts of outdoor activities, including hiking, snow skiing, and golf. I also love to read and sing. My wife and I enjoy traveling, especially to visit historical sites. A trip to Israel last year was one of the highlights of our life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and learned at a very young age about Jesus Christ and his gospel. I also learned about the prophet Joseph Smith, and how the fulness of Christ's gospel was restored to the earth through him. I first read the Book of Mormon when I was just learning how to read, and I have loved and cherished that sacred book of scripture ever since. Throughout my childhood and youth and into adulthood, I have continued to learn and grow in understanding of Jesus Christ and his true gospel, and have become more and more firm in my faith. I have seen and experienced for myself many times the blessings that God grants to those who strive to keep his commandments, and to live their lives as followers of His Son, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because of the joy that comes from knowing and living according to God's plan of happiness for his children. Because I am a Mormon I know that God knows who I am, and that he loves me with a perfect Father's love.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith every day, by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ in all that I say and do. I pray every day, and find great comfort and strength in doing so. I worship in church services every week. I continue to study the scriptures and the teachings of Jesus Christ and the prophets, to gain greater understanding of the purpose of life and what God would have me do. As a member of the Mormon church, I have had many opportunities throughout my life my serve in various positions in the church. I have been a teacher, a youth leader, an organizer of athletic activities, and even a choir director. I have also had the privilege of being a lay minister, of leading some of our congregations and directing other leaders and teachers in their service. Most of all, I live my faith by trying to be a good husband, father, and grandfather, and by loving and serving my family in accordance with the teachings and gosepl of Jesus Christ.
