Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm an insurance agent. I like to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Arizona State University in elementary eduation, but decided that wasn't for me and so got into insurance. I love to travel and go whenever I can. I went to Peru for a couple weeks one summer and helped build homes for some families down there and was able to do the touristy things as well and loved it. I love seeing Broadway plays. Wicked is my favorite so far, but Spiderman is a real close second. Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies, but I also love just hanging out with friends or family and playing games or talking. I'm single, but have 2 nieces I love to spoil when I can. I'm trying to learn to cook. I bought a house a couple years ago and have had a lot of fun decortating it, but the rest of homeownership kind of stresses me out. I'm in the process of getting ready to have my first garden and hoping something will actually grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but that isn't why I still go. I know this church is true. I've prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked. I've read the Book of Mormon and I've felt time and time again that this church is true. I know it everyday when I have experiences or feelings that reinforce that there is a God and He loves me and has a plan for me and for all of us. Living the gospel makes me happier. It makes times of struggle in my life so much easier because I know I'm not alone and I've had burdens lifted and been given strength to get through tough times that I only could have received from a loving Father in Heaven. I have no greater blessing in my life than this gospel. It brings me such joy. I can't imagine life without it. When I have decisions that need to be made or when I'm struggling to get through I know I have a Father in Heaven who hears and answers every single one of my prayers. He comforts me and loves me and I could not live life without that. He's never left me and I know He never will.

How I live my faith

I currently am teaching Sunday School to adults my age at church on Sundays. When I was asked to do this I was so nervous as I'm not one who is comfortable speaking in front of others, but after 2 years of doing this I have come to love it. I get a chance to study and learn in preparation for the lesson on Sunday. Before I was teaching Sunday School I was over a Service Committee and I loved this. It has changed my life. It gave me a love of service and serving those in my community and neighborhood. I still try to regularly give service to various charities/organizations in my area. My work has now actually started a monthly service/charity donation and I'm involved in that and love it.
