Hi I'm Kath

I'm a Mormon. I am also a runner, a snowboarder, a wakeboarder, a Kindle reader, an herb lady, a Mother of 4, and a happy wife.

About Me

Sometimes our family likes to hike the Grand Canyon in one day....all the way down to Phantom Ranch and back out again. Sometimes my husband and I like to ride our tandem bicycle 100+ miles in one day. Sometimes I like to go snowboarding, but I have to go with my grown kids because I don't have any friends my age that know how. Sometimes I like to wakeboard, but I love watching my kids board even more. All the time I love to run, even tho I'm really slow. Last summer my husband and I mapped out our own half-marathon. We worked hard all summer preparing, and completed it on our 26th anniversary. I love to read, and my favorite book is The Book of Mormon. I read it everyday. It has changed my life. I've never graduated from college, even tho I have 3 years worth of credits. Now that all my kids are grown, maybe I will go back to school and finish....or maybe I will take that stained glass class or painting class...we'll see. I did nails for 23 years while I was raising my 4 kids, but now I manage my husband's chiropractic office. We get to be together every day, and I love it! I have been richly blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was raised to be a member, but each of us have to gain our own testimony of Jesus Christ, of the truths found in The Book of Mormon, of the need for Prophets called by God. I know my Savior died for me, so that I can live with Him again. I know The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith spoke with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know these things because I have studied, fasted and prayed to know for myself. But don't take my word for it. Open The Book of Mormon and read it for yourself. Pray to God and ask Him if what you're reading is true. Just be ready for the answer. It will change your life. You will be richly blessed.

How I live my faith

I've enjoyed working with teenagers most of my life. I've enjoyed teaching them in Sunday School classes, and early morning seminary classes before school each day. I love to take care of other women's babies while they teach teenagers on Sundays. I get to talk to women about the importance of motherhood and families. I love secretly putting my neighbor's garbage cans away. If you walk into my home, I love sending you away with your tummy full and a treat in your hand. I know I am a child of God, but not an only child. I know that when I am in the service of my fellow beings, I am in the service of our God.
