Hi I'm Ana

I'm a Mormon. A member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints! The greatest title to have...except "Nama" (Grandma)!

About Me

I was born of goodly parents who were immigrants from Mexico. My heart is full of gratitude for the missionaries that presented the gospel to my parents, and that they exercised their free agency to accept the gospel many years ago, which has been the source of my blessings without measure! I am a modern day pioneer! My family did not cross the plains to come out west in the covered wagons... but the trials, hardships, miracles and blessings have been as great! I am fluent in the Spanish and English languages. I have no earthly credentials or titles, or degrees...only those of being a friend, a daughter, a wife, a mother, a teacher of the gospel, a leader of the youth, and especially a "Nama" (grandma)...the sweetest title on earth!!! I hold these titles most dear! I have seen God's love for me manifested in intricate details of my life and I desire for others to feel His love for them, as well. Thus... I choose in life to be a, "My Brother's Keeper"! Since I was a child I can recall pretending to teach the gospel to my siblings, and I still love teaching it now that I am an adult. When I teach, I love to use visual aids and be very effective. My favorite song is "Savior Redeemer of My Soul" because the words in the song are the sentiments of my heart at this time. I love the times when my children and family can all gather around together in our home at special times.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found in life that the secret to my success is to simply put God first in all I do! To basically put my life in the hands of He who created me! I figure He knows best! Although I have been through trials of every magnitude, I find that when I am obedient to the best of my ability...the Lord has never forsaken me! He really delivers! He has provided for my every need, and I have had some strenuous difficulties in my life! I continue to need His "Manna" from heaven! I continue to need his refreshing waters in my dry parched deserts! I need Him to continue to lift me up on His eagle's wings! I need him to continue to put me in his high places where I can be the best me I can possibly be. I continue to need his love and tender mercies. His continued rescueing from the personal bondages I put myself in! I need his Plan of Salvation for me from my personal falls through the atonement of His Son Jesus Christ! I need His forgiveness! I need His approval! I need His comfort, His guidance in my life! I need His strength to carry me when I am tired and weak! I need the continual reassurance I recieve every time I pray and I know that He is listening and cares at the other end of my prayers! I desire all these things for my children and my children's children and for all the people I serve and love! For all God"s children. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, my testimony of God's work and His living Prophet and Apostles, my hope in His Plan of Salvation for myself, my loved ones and all of God's human family, and the hope that through the atonement of His Son Jesus Christ...I can have my family forever and never break those tender precious ties!!! My membership in the church is "My Life Blood"! I have put all these things to the test! I need my Saviors love ...and I need all of those blessings that he offers me through my membership in his church! Without it, I would be stagnate. I would literally die! I choose to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I believe I cannot live my faith if I do not follow God's living Prophet and Apostles. Our Prophet has asked all who are able and willing, to serve a mission and to preach the gospel. My children are all raised and married except for the youngest, so my husband and I are at the threshold of giving service to the church. We live our faith by staying out of debt and not encumbering ourselves and our time so that we can do this when the time comes. We also volunteered our time for 7 years to teach a Book of Mormon class to a large group of young adults. It was one of the grandest experiences I have had! I also love to feed the missionaries and to be around them! I love to feel the spirit AND THE GREAT MISSIONARY ZEAL! I strive to fulfill my church callings to the best of my ability, and where I lack, I strive to learn. I have worked much with the youth in the church...the young adults and the young women. We meet with them on sundays for class, and also one day out of the week for activities that help them to live good lives. I also try to set my priorities in alignment with God's will for me. I try to live a consecrated life, to live above the growing evil in the world today. I am willing to give my time, talents, and all that I have to the Lord and His work. I pray always, Keep the Sabbath day, attend the temple, search the scriptures, fast, and remember the poor and the needy. I find that when I seek the things of God first....then He blesses me and takes care of all my needs. For me, it is a priority to remember the poor and to aleviate suffering where it is possible for me to help. I always remember the days of my own bondages and the people that have helped me through the years, and I try to give back in the manner that I have recieved. I strive to follow the Prophet to be blessed, protected, and prospered. Success in this life and the next, has nothing to do with our own genius! I simply "Look to God and live", through the atonement of His Son Jesus Christ. Amen
