Hi I'm Brent

I live in Colorado. I have six children. I serve as an Area Seventy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel. I love to play golf. I am a father of six children. I graduated from college with a degree in marketing. I started my own buisness at the age of 28. I have owned, managed and operated an employee benefit company. I have sold a company. I served a full time mission for my church. I love attending church. I serve on a hospital foundation board. I have served as a Young Men's president, Bishop and Stake President. I am looking forward to serving several missions for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have received a witness that the Church is true. I know that we are spirit children of our Heavenly Father and that we lived with him before we came to this earth. I know that Heavenly Father loves us unconditionally. I know that through prayer we can become closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of our Heavenly Father. I know He lives. I know that Jesus Christ stands at the head of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know the priesthood has beeen restored to the earth through heavenly messengers. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that the heavens are open today and that Heavenly Father can reveal His truth to his servants the prophets. I know that Heavenly Father can reveal His truth to me. My testimony is more important to me than life itself. I am a better person because of my membership in the Church. Our family has been richly blessed because of our membership in the Church. By abiding by its precepts and the teachings of the gospel we have been insulated from many of the issues and challenges that people face in our society today. I testify of Jesus Christ's redeming love and of His Atonment.

How I live my faith

Because of my church callings I have been given the opportunity to meet and interface with many of our community leaders. My assocoiation with them has provided me an opportunity to assist in the development of many programs and events in our community. Some of these events and programs include Teacher Appreciation Nights where we honored public school teachers for their wonderful influence on the youth who attend our church. We have planned Community Christmas Concerts, Patriotic Concerts, Family Fairs and developed youth programs. Because of my church callings I have also met newspaper publishers, leaders of other churches, business and community leaders, governors, senators, congressmen and mayors. Currently a few of the leaders in our church meet every couple of months with The American Jewish Committee. We discuss our rich and common heritages, issues facing our faiths today and other relevant present day topics. Our meetings have helped us to better understand each other and to have more appreciation for each other. We have become friends. In my current calling I travel to many areas of the church. I have the opportunity to meet members of the church outside of my community. I have experienced in my traveling and witnessed the diversity of culture and people that are among the membership of the church today. I have met many new converts, listened to their conversion stories and seen the power of the restored gospel as it continues to fill the earth. I love the youth of the church. One of my favorite callings was when I served as a leader of a youth group. I love the scouting program. I currently serve as an executive board member in one of the Boy Souts of America area councils. My wife and I also have the privilege of supporting our local hospital by serving on the hospital foundation board. Among all of these ways that I live my faith I recognize that my most important responsibility is in my home and family, being a good father and husband.
