Hi I'm Alysa Claverie

I'm a Mormon. I'm a stay at home mom, with 2 children. Before I had children I was a 3rd grade teacher.

About Me

I'm a mom of 2. I love to cook, read, take pictures and be outdoors. I have a BS degree in elem education. I enjoy being with and teaching children. We planted a garden for the first time this year. It has been fun to see the fruits of our labor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I believe in the teaching that are taught each week. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and this church has a complete understanding. I believe in Book of Mormon and relate it to my life in these times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, reading scriptures, keeping the commandments. I work with the young Woman ages 12-18, and teach them the gospel.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Alysa Claverie
Every Sunday we are dressed in our "Sunday best", woman wear dresses, men ware suits. Children also are dressed in their best. We celebrate Christmas and Easter. These two events are very important because of the birth, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Church members also celebrate regional and national holidays of the countries where we lives. We celebrate birthday and other similar events. Show more Show less
