Hi I'm Ben

"Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." -President Gordon B. Hinckley

About Me

I'm a return missionary from the California Long Beach Mission. I'm a diehard lacrosse fan, and a board game geek. My family and friends mean everything to me and I'm currently enrolled in the Business Information Systems program at LDS Business College. I love missionary work and sharing the Gospel. I'm grateful for the chance that I had to serve a full time mission. It changed my life and gave me an irreplaceable base for the rest of my life. One of the most important things that I believe that the Savior taught us is the importance of always looking for opportunities to serve others. That is something that I try and do everyday. I'm not the best communicator and in that aspect I know that I am weak and I depend upon the Lord everyday to have the courage to go and talk to people and ask them if I can serve them in some way. It is scary a lot of the time but with the Lord's hand on my shoulder I can do hard things. I truly do love the Gospel as taught by the Master Teacher and look forward to some personal tutelidge one day.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored in it's fulness and I am blessed to enjoy the blessings of it in my daily life. I have a true desire to follow my Savior and do what he taught. The blessings of having an Eternal Family are one of the things that lightens my hopes. I am also glad to have a living prophet on earth today who receives revelation and guidance for us today. I know, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that the Book of Mormon is true. It has blessed my life greatly and I have seen its teachings change other's lives for the better. I also know that the Bible is the word of God and that it is essential for us to fully understand Christ's role in our lives. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church restored once again upon the Earth in preparation for His second coming. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us.

How I live my faith

Live the gospel. The golden rule is a great start. I try to spend quality time with my family and be able to make people happy. I like having fun and going out to show people that you can still have fun and have high standards. I also look for opportunities to serve others. If we look at the way that Christ lived His life, we can see that He always looked outwards and served others at all times. I have a personal goal to live this way. I'm far from it right now but every day I look for a way to serve someone else. I know that as I keep doing this that the Lord will allow me to grow closer to reaching this goal.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Ben
We increase our faith in Christ by living the way that He taught us to live. We study His doctrine and actually apply it in our everyday lives. Jesus Christ is our savior and our perfect exemplar. Fervent prayer allows us to receive a spiritual confirmation in our mind and heart that this is true. Show more Show less
