Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I am a two-time cancer survivor. I love Mt. Rainier, the ocean, and fish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I received my Masters & BS degrees over the past 6 years, while working full-time. Education is very important to me. I didn't think my brain would work, but it did. I recommend all adults to go out there and finish up. I did all my schooling in Federal Way and lived here most of my life, except for 10 years in Bountiful, UT. I love to perform onstage in musical theatre and comedies. I love swimming, traveling, and BBQs with good friends and family. I am the mother of one son. I adore my daughter-in-law. I became a new grandma last year of a granddaughter and my tiny grandson will be here in November. Two little ones under the age of 13 months! Being a grandparent is wonderful. As a new single woman, I am happy to return back home in the beautiful surroundings of the Seattle area.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was raised Mormon in Seattle with a big family and strong fabulous parents. Every time I move, I search for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. No matter where I've lived, the teachings of the Gospel are the same (even in Athens, Greece). Knowing that I am a Daughter of God sustains me when things seem out of my control. Building a strong support system ensures that I can do this. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus is Our Savior. I believe in the power of prayer and miracles. I believe that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love going to the temple to renew my commitment to God. I try every day to be a kind, generous, Christian woman. When I fall short (which happens often), I am grateful that the atonement of Jesus Christ applies to me and I can repent, forgive myself, and tackle another day.

How I live my faith

Ever since I was 12 years old, I have given service to the church, starting out in the Nursery. I've served with the children, teenagers, adults, and nursing home adults. It is an honor to give service to my neighbors and friends. Every church calling of service helped me to grow spiritually as I research topics so I can give the best service possible. I've taught sunday school lessons, scouting, girls camp, music leader, other positions in the church. I've been a visiting teacher to sisters in my area since I turned 18. Getting to know other sisters helps me to grow and love them more. As I sincerely check on my sisters, I hope to become a true friend. I've had visiting teachers and home teachers stop by my home monthly and grown attached to these disciples of Christ as they serve me.
