Hi I'm Domini

Hi! I am an ESL teacher in Washington State. I love exploring world cultures. I am a mormon.

About Me

I just finished getting my master's degree at the University of Washington. I love living in the pacific northwest! I've traveled a bit and think I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth! All around me are places to hike, kayak, bike, swim, play and explore! Being an aunt is my favorite thing - I enjoy playing with my awesome nieces and nephews - and my brothers and sister too! I adopted a dog and enjoy spending time with her too!

Why I am a Mormon

was born to parents who are Mormon, so initially that is why I am a Mormon. I was taught that I am a child of God and that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me. I was taught to pray and trust in the Lord. As happens with everyone, I have experienced things in life that led me to search for peace, support, strength, and guidance. I am grateful for my upbringing in the church, as I understand what my life is about and how to find answers to questions that come up. I find an abundance of peace, support, strength, and guidance through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that I am surrounded by people who are not perfect, but are trying to live righteous, happy, and simple lives. I am grateful for the support I receive through their fellowship and friendships. I know that there are men who hold the priesthood of God and are able to administer blessings of health and comfort. I know that through this priesthood, the Lord directs the church. I also know that the Lord not only hears, but answers prayers. I know that I receive personal revelations for my life from my Savior. He not only knows us, but knows who we can become and what we can do. Studying the scriptures (Book of Mormon and Bible), listening to the counsel of the prophet and apostles today, and participating in church services has helped me understand how to live the teachings of the Savior so that I can live the best life I can. I am blessed to have the Spirit of the Lord as my constant companion. It is a blessing I cherish the most in my life. I know that the Lord is with me every single day and is there for me. While I have an amazing family, it is the Lord and His Spirit that bless my thoughts and help me seek and accept God's will. All of these things is why I am still a Mormon today.

How I live my faith

I am a youth advisor in my ward. I love working with the youth! They are so strong in their beliefs and convictions. They are dedicated to living the high standards that the Lord has set, despite the tugs and pulls of society. They are examples to each other and sources of strength. While I give of my time freely to teach the youth every Sunday, I gain so much from them and their insights into living strong Christian lives today. But this is just one SMALL aspect of how I live my faith. My faith is lived in each prayer I offer, each inspiration or revelation I receive and follow, each kind word or act I give, and each thought I direct towards the blessings I receive from the Lord and expressing my gratitude to Him.
