Hi I'm Tami

I'm a mother of 6 crazy kids, a news junkie, a blogger, a college football fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mother of 6, and my husband and children are the most important thing in the world to me! I love being involved in their school, and their activities. I love watching them play sports, and helping them with projects. When I'm not super busy being a mom and taking care of our home, I enjoy surfing the web and keeping up on current news events and websites. I love listening to talk radio, and keeping up with politics. I also enjoy blogging about our family and the activities we do together, and in general, my feelings about life. It is an outlet for me, where I can express myself, and be creative. I enjoy going back and reading about our experiences, and remembering stories about my family and children. I am grateful that blogging has given me a fun way to keep a journal of sorts of our crazy family life! My husband and I also enjoy watching College Football together on Saturdays. Sometimes, on a typical Saturday, we only leave the couch for food or drinks! Our team is Arizona State--and we have been fans through the good, the bad, and the ugly seasons!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family, and I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't believe that the church was true. I have always known that I was a child of a Heavenly Father, who loves me, and that I have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for my sins. I was baptized when I was 8 years old, and I remember that day like it was yesterday. I remember that I felt the spirit so strongly in the room as I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to go with my mom, and my sisters to Palmyra, New York, to visit the Sacred Grove, where Joseph Smith had a vision that changed his life, and my life forever. As I prayed in that sacred place, a feeling of peace and comfort came over me that I have never felt before, even though I have been a member of the church all my life. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that he restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ to this earth. I am so grateful to be a Mormon, because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings peace, and focus into my life. It makes me a better wife, a better mother, and a better person. I love my church!

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the church, and the opportunity it gives me to make friendships in my ward with people I don't know if I would ever meet otherwise. I have served in many positions in my church. I have served with the young women, doing activities to help them build their faith and just have FUN. I have served many years in the Cub Scout organization, being a den leader, and have enjoyed being involved in the scouting program. I love visiting teaching, where I go with a friend to visit some of the ladies I am assigned to visit in my ward. It gives me an opportunity to get to know many of them much better, and hopefully to be a help to them if they have problems. I have enjoyed teaching classes at church, and helping the children to know their Savior better, and learn about God's church.
