Hi I'm Lana

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah, but have lived in Nebraska for 40 years.

About Me

I am a 63 year old wife, mother of 5 and grandmother to 17 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with each one of them and attending as many of their activities as I can. I enjoy spending a time with my husband traveling or working on projects together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family that taught me about Jesus Christ and his Gospel. I learned from my parents how important family relationships are because they can last forever. I have also learned that when I follow the precepts of a the Gospel, I am happy and when I don't I am not. The atonement of Jesus Christ has made it possible for me to repent when I am not living the commandments so I can strive to do better each day. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that Jesus is the Christ and Joseph Smith is a prophet of God who translated the Book of Mormon which is a second testament of Jesus Christ. I also have a testimony that we have the blessing of a living prophet on the earth today and that by following Pres. Thomas Monson we can be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching each week in the organization for the children 3-12. I truly enjoy this because each week we study the plain and simple truths of the Gospel which helps to fortify my faith. I also spend a day a week serving in the Winter Quarters Temple which is indeed a blessing to spend time in this sacred place. A very rewarding way that I try to live my faith is by belonging to the organization for the women of the Church who are 18 years of age and older. Through this organization I have been given many opportunities to serve others and have had the blessing of the other members service to me and my family.
