Hi I'm Tomas

I am an organic-chemistry student blessed with amazing wife. I love nature and it's diversity, good food and plants.

About Me

Currently I live in Prague, Czech Republic, where I finish my MSc. degree in organic chemistry. I am a lucky son of 2 loving people and a brother to the best sister ever imagined! I grew up in Slovakia, spent a year in Oregon and then decided to "cooking some molecules" which means "synthesis of molecules". I love it! . I enjoy intelligent conversations, that include topics of faith and science or any other conversation that makes me either think or laugh :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I myself made a decision to follow Jesus Christ. I believe that the true teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles are back on Earth today. The primitive Church of Jesus Christ from back then was restored and now I am a partaker of these blessings. I had been exposed to the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as I spent a year as an exchange student. Willingness and openness of my host-lds family enhanced my quest for spiritual growth. After I left home, I happened to miss lots of the things. It took me additional 9 months to find out whether the missing piece was the Gospel or some other thing. I decided to perform an experiment throughout summer. I put myself into a possition to read the Book of Mormon. I kept asking Heavenly Father about the truthfullness of the verses written there. It took a while ... but finally I made a decision to follow the Savior and be baptized. Since then I noticed greater peace in my life. I dedicated 2 years of my life as a full-time volunteer missionary in Switzerland, met wonderful people with whom I shared what I know. I married my lovely wife Jana and are excited to start a family on our own.

How I live my faith

Simply said:"I am trying to do and be my best". I think that Lord accepts our best effort. I start and close the day with a prayer and on my way to work I read scriptures (Bible and The Book of Mormon). As I do my daily routines I try to act more like Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to emulate his character by the things I do and how I approach and treat people. Being around missionaries has been tremendous blessing as well.
