Hi I'm Dena

I appreciate those around me. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived my whole life in the same town. Some would think that boring, but I like roots and gain strength from surroundings long appreciated and loved. I am a full-time mom, and I enjoy finding time to read (Agatha Christie is one of my favorites), do my daily Sudoku puzzle and pursue online genealogical research.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one who has been in the church all my life, with many generations behind me in the church as well. I continue to be a Mormon because I have received confirmation many times from the Holy Ghost that what I am doing is correct, that the church is true, and that the Lord has a plan for my life that it is my responsibility to follow. There are times in everyone's life when you have doubts and wonder if you're going in the right direction. I appreciate the fact that Heavenly Father has not left us alone in this life, but has provided a living prophet, scriptures and prayer. I listen to and get counsel from the prophet. I read the words of my Savior and His chosen leaders in the scriptures and feel the truth there. I pray to my Father and feel His love and guidance through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Right now I am able to work with many women in the church. I visit them in their homes, I counsel with them when they have needs, I pray for them daily. I feel privileged that I have the opportunity in my life at this time to give service in this manner. I feel I am able to grow spiritually as I give of my time and caring to others. I feel it is what my Savior would do if He were here, and because of this, I feel closer to Him.
