Hi I'm Rhonda

I grew up in California. I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a school bus driver..... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to a wonderful man for 27 years. I'm a wife, a mother of 4, a daughter, and a sister. I currently drive a school bus and love it! I love playing the piano, biking, reading, quilting, crocheting, cooking, baking and trying new recipes. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church every week with my family. We tried to live the gospel in our home every day with Family Home Evening every Monday night where we would spend time playing games together, having a gospel related lesson, or going somewhere together as a family. We also tried to read the scriptures on a daily basis (it didn't always happen, but my mother tried). Since I was quite young I have been blessed with having a firm belief that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he atoned for our sins. I know that it is because of His sacrifice that I will be able to live again in my Heavenly Father's presence. I have felt the joy that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. I know that as I strive to do those things that are good and wholesome and pure, that is what will bring me true lasting happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to take life one day at a time. I like the advice that Dumbledore gave to Harry Potter when he said, "There comes a time when we all must choose between what is right and what is easy". It's not always easy to do what you know is right, but I try. I wear a CTR ring that reminds me each day to "Choose The Right". In the Church I work with the teenage youth and love it. I love planning activities and dances for them. I love teaching them how to plan activities for the other youth in our area. I love helping them. I love being with them and, yes, often times I am the one who ends up learning from them. I like visiting with the older people in our area as well. They have such a wealth of knowledge that I have come to appreciate. Each day I try to look at others and not judge them. I try to see them the way Christ sees them. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I try to live each day the way that He would want me to.
