Mike: Mormon.

Hi I'm Mike

About Me

I'm a CRNA and although I live in Kansas where there are not a lot of mountains, I am an avid skier. I have two wonderful daughters and a sweet wife. We are living in Lenexa Kansas and trying to beat the heat. Since I spend so much of my time in a cold operating room doing anesthesia for all types of patients, I find it a trial to deal with some of the brutal summer temperatures here in the Heartland of America. I served a Mission for the Church for two years in Bordeaux France (the whole southwest Corner of France)

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon because it allows me to first hand tell people about my love and testimony of Jesus Christ. I find the most joy in talking about and pondering His life and mission as Savior of the World and I find it a faith builder to remind people that we as Mormons, do believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the only true cornerstone of our religion. I enjoyed telling people about this wonderful good news in France where I served a mission telling the wonderful people there about the good news of the gospel."La Bonne Nouvelle" I love and have faith in Jesus Christ and being a Mormon allows me to tell people about it! I love being a Mormon and I love the Book of Mormon that is another Testament about Jesus Christ and his visit to the American Continent. I am grateful Joseph Smith had the courage to translate it and bring it forth and it is wonderful to have so much more information about THE person we Praise and Honor---Jesus Christ.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

One day at work a fellow CRNA was talking about how wonderful it would be if there was an additional record about Jesus Christ and that it was sad that all we had was the Bible to learn about someone as important as Jesus Christ. I was thrilled and I mentioned the Book of Mormon as another testament of the person that we believe in. We got into a discussion about how the book came about and I gave her a book of Mormon a couple of days later. I urged her to read it and assured her that the information that it gave about Jesus Christ would enrich her understanding of the Savior and provide another testament from a different people about that Jesus of Nazareth that we believe in. I hope she will.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be good example and to allow people to see what a disciple of Jesus Christ looks like. I try to be a good example so that when people wonder what Mormons are like, they can look at me and think..."wow, they aren't so weird...OK so he is a little weird but Mormons themselves aren't so weird.." Hee-hee. I enjoy life and I enjoy laughing and being kind to those around me. I love to tell people about what I believe and I never want to be seen as someone who is unapproachable about religion and who has a sour outlook of life. I try to be good and make good decisions so that they who know me want to become better acquainted with Jesus Christ because they know me and they know that I believe in Jesus Christ.
