Hi I'm Chris

I am a father of 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls with an amazing wife living in arizona. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am married to a wonderful wife and together we are trying to raise 7 children. Our oldest are twins that are seniors in highschool, the youngest is 2. Life around are home is very activity with all types of events from music concerts and sports. Whenever possible, I enjoy reading and exercising. I enjoy spending time with my family, no matter what it is. One of my favorite things to do is to travel. One of the blessings for me was the opportunity to spend time in the Holy Land, learning and studying more about our Savior Jesus Christ. One of the greatest blessings came when I was able to meet my wife. I am so grateful that we shared this experience together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to born of wondeful parents who taught me the joy that comes from keeping Gods commandments. While my mother was a teenager, she met a special young man who introduced her to the church and he later baptised her. That decison has blessed my life for ever because they were eventually married. My parents always tried to teach me the turthfulness of the gospel, but eventaully it was my decision to remain active and to receive my own testimony of the church. I wish I could say that there was this one big event that led me to my conversion, but there isn't. Just a bunch of small, little experiences that have blessed me and taught me the truthfulness of this gospel. For example, as I have tried to read the Book of Mormon daily, and pray about regularly, I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is true! And it is another testament of Jesus Christ. Like the Prophet Joseph Smith states in the introduction, "A man will get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts then any other book". I have also seen the joy and happiness which comes from keeping Gods commandments. Although I am not perfect, the church gives me standards to live by.

How I live my faith

One of the blessings of being a member in the church is that we are all allowed to serve one another. There is no paid minsitry. Each member has the opportunity to receive a calling which allows them to grow and develop talents that helps strenghten those around them. My wife and I have tried to raise our children in a manner which teaches them about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have tried to teach them about prayer, studying their scriptures. Also, to teach them that we believe that there is a Prophet of God on the earth today, just like in the days of Abraham or Moses or Noah. In a crazy world we live in, it is wonderful to realize that the heavens are open, that God still communicates with us. That he has a plan for us.
