Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon, or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am many other things, but first a Child of God.

About Me

I am a Husband (Married 13 plus years to my best friend) and Father of Three Boys. I am a Home Teacher, a National Guard Soldier/Officer, Emergency Preparedness Specialist, Cub Master, nieghbor, and friend. I like to be involved with my family & community, travel, and just be active. I value relationships and feel that my relationship with my, God, Family, Fiends, and self will be all that I will be able to take with me when my work here is done....

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church or was Baptised the day after I was married. My wife and I wanted a holy matrimony, as we both felt that if we were to be married, it would last longer if The Lord was part of our life. We discussed several Churches, but she was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ so she wanted to visit The Mesa Arizona Temple so we could talk to a missionary in the visitor center. When we walked up to the Grand Temple, I said to her, Honey, I don't think I can afford this. She laughed and encouraged me to keep going as she always does...and as it turned out, we couldn't afford not to be married in That Temple. Through many discussions with missionaries, alot of study, and many prayers, I received confirmation from the spirit that the Book of Mormon is true, and that the Church of Jesus Christ is the restored church of Jesus Christ. When the spirit bore witness to me I have never to that point thought so clear nor felt something was more right...I understood at that moment where I came from, and where I was going, and that I needed to change and repent continually to have and maintain a connection to my saviour Jesus Christ. After baptism my wife and i began preperations for our Temple marriage, which helped us to build and eternal family. This work along with much more acts as the glue that keeps our Family together, through the good times and and the not so good times. So when I am asked why am I a Mormon, I say, because this is His work, and I want to know Him, and I want to be part of an eternal Family, His Family. Families can be together forever, through Heavenly Father's Plan...that is why I am a "Morman" or a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ....

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church I have served and continue to serve in many positions in The Church. In the church we have a liegh priesthood, and we serve in many leadership capacities. Our main role is to preach and teach the gospel, perfect the saints, and redeem the dead. While in Iraq I was I was called to be the LDS Group Leader, which allowed me to conduct meetings, prepare sacrament, teach the Gospel and keep track of members of the Church in that area, and listen to thier concerns, pray with them, and provide blessings (priesthood ordinance of laying on of hands) when appropriate. Currently I serve the youth as the Cub Master and I am also the Emergency Preparedness Specialist for our local area, and also as a home teacher I check on and teach a few families in our congregation. I stand ready to serve where needed as I love the way I feel when I serve...
