Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in Arizona, married my beautiful wife in 1995 and have three beautilful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent the early years of my life in Colorado and New Mexico, my family moved to Mesa Arizona in 1981 when I was 10 years old. After serving a church mission in South Carolina I returned home and met the love of my life. Julie and I married in 1995 and have three beautiful girls. I earned a degree in business administration and currently work as a commercial insurance broker. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching my girl's soccer teams.

Why I am a Mormon

After being introduced to the church by good friends my parents opted to meet with the Mormon missionaries to learn more about the faith. As the missionaries taught them the doctrines of the church and shared with them our Heavenly Father's plan my parent’s excitement grew. After much study and prayer they were baptized and joined the church in 1976. I am grateful to my parents for their desire to seek for truth, the faith to pray for answers and the courage to act once they received confirmation. My life and the life of my wife and children have been richly blessed as a result. Never at any time in my life have I questioned whether or not the church was true. I have always known from as early as I can remember and I have had many experiences throughout life that have reaffirmed that knowledge. As challenges in life have presented themselves, having an understanding of who I am, why I am here, and the promises and blessings in the afterlife has given me an eternal perspective and made the challenges easier to deal with. The knowledge I have of the gospel has brought peace and comfort to me throughout my life. I have seen the Lord’s hand in my life and have witnessed the joy that comes from living the gospel.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ is simple. I strive to keep my life similarly simple and focus on those things that matter most. When asked by the Pharisee “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. “This is the first and great commandment. “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:36–40) On the eve of His crucifixion Christ taught His disciples when he said “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you. …By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34–35) Loving and serving others are the things that matter most to me. My life has been blessed as I have looked for opportunities to show love and offer service in my marriage, with my family, at work, in the community and at church. It is wonderful to be a part of a church that provides so many opportunities for service. It is amazing to see how the members of the church all contribute to help the programs of the church to operate. Throughout my life I have had the opportunity to serve in many different capacities within the church. I have served as a missionary, taught youth in Sunday school, worked with young men in Boy Scouts, and have been assigned to care for various families in the church. Recently I have been asked to serve in a position where I am able to sit in on weekly meetings with the local church leaders to discuss the spiritual and temporal needs of each of the families in our stewardship. As I see the love and concern they have for each individual, hear the prayers that are offered on their behalf and see the plans that are put into place to help, I feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful organization. Being surrounded by such wonderful men and woman who are true Disciples of Christ strengthens me and makes it easier to live my faith.
