Hi I'm Melissa

I am a mom, a wife and a rancher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Colorado. I have a deep love for the mountains. My dream as a child was to be a Park Ranger, so I moved to Texas and went to school and became one! I worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Park Ranger for 3 years, until I met a wonderful guy back in Colorado. I have been married for 8 years and together we have 3 beautiful children. Our dream together has been to own and operate a ranch. We realized our dream a little over a year ago and now run 100 cow/calf pairs together ( although, I have to admit that my husband does the majority of the work, and I mostly get to enjoy it!) I love to decorate cakes, play with my children, and to "hang" with the girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that the gospel needed to be restored to its origins and it was done trough Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I love that family is central to our faith, and that we have the opportunity to be an eternal family if we live righetously. I am a Mormon because it feels right for me. I enjoy going to church and learning of our saviors plan for us.

How I live my faith

I love to be an active part in both my community and church. I have had the opportunity to take my children into assisted living homes and do crafts with them. I love what those elderly people teach me and my children! I have been able to participate in our womens group and organize crafts. I have taught in the nursery at church. I truly believe that there is nothing sweeter that the innocent spirit of a child.
