Hi I'm Amanda

I'm an only child. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated with a MS in Mathematics and have a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I have been married to love of my life for two years and we are expecting our first child this summer. We love starting new adventures in life! I love my husband so much and am so glad that we are married for time and all eternity! I love spending time with friends and family. I enjoy curling up and reading a good book. I love that the gospel is the same no matter where you are.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the gospel has made me who I am today. I wouldn't be where I am in life without it. Life is hard, but I know that I can get through it with the help of Jesus Christ and his gospel. I've come to gain a personal testimony that this is His church, the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Heavenly Father knows me personally and loves me. I know that living the commandments of the gospel will help me to live a truly happy life. When life gets tough and I feel alone, I know that I can turn in prayer to my Heavenly Father, and he is there to give me direction and comfort. I know he hears my prayers and answers them; even if it's not the answer I want, it's the answer that is best for me. Knowing that I can be with my family for eternity gives me comfort to know that this life isn't all. It gives me comfort to know I'll see my family members again as they pass away.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is who I am. Every week I attend church to strengthen my beliefs in the gospel. No matter where I live, the same lessons and beliefs are taught. This gives me hope and comfort knowing that where ever I may move to, the gospel is there for me. Every night before we go to bed, my husband and I read from The Book of Mormon. It's great to be able to read with him because it's another person I can ask questions to when I don't understand. Being involved in the gospel fully is what keeps my life balanced. I share my talents and testimony by playing the piano and organ at Sunday Church meetings.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Amanda
Families are meant to be together forever. I am so thankful and excited that not only am I married to the love of life for this life on earth, but through all eternity. I will be his wife without end. This principle helps me understand why marriage between a man and a woman is so important and sacred. On my wedding day I thought to myself, this is real and this is forever. Everyday our love can grow because we will always be together. This also give me comfort knowing that I will see my family after we pass from this Earth. When lives are shorter than we want, hope and comfort come from knowing that I will be able to see my family again. I will be able to tell them I love them again when we are all together in heaven. I am able to handle deaths in my family by knowing that we are together forever. Our relationship and love does not end here on Earth. By living the gospel faithfully I know that I will always be with my family. Show more Show less
