Hi I'm Sari

I grew up in a small town in Utah. I'm a stay at home mom, I love to find ways to serve and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom. I've been married for 18 years, have 3 children, and keep myself busy. I home schooled my middle daughter for 4 years because I thought it was in her best interest. I like to take each person for who they are and not bunch them all together. I enjoy doing puzzles, decorating houses, helping others, and playing games. My life doesn't seem too extraordinary and that's the way I like it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had the gospel in my life. I grew up in a small Utah town and didn't really know life existed beyond my area code. I'm the youngest of 7 children and I had plenty of time to spend with cousins and family. I never really thought about my membership in the church until I was in my teenage years as my mother was dying of cancer. She passed away 2 weeks before I started my Senior year of High School. As I look back, I think it should have been a lot harder on me, but with my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation I had the hope and faith that families are forever, that I would one day be reunited with her, and that the relationships we have here will not end. As I started dating my future husband there was no doubt of where I would be married. It would be in a modern day temple, under proper authority, so that I could start an eternal family of my own. I know that all people have trials. We all suffer at one time or another. It is comforting to me to know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me. Who cares about my well being. Who wants more for me than I ever will feel worthy of. He sent His Son, my elder brother, to do something for all of us that we could never do for ourselves. God loves all of us and to me it makes sense that He would continue to speak us. He has a Prophet on the earth today. What a great blessing to receive that counsel.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. This church gives me many opportunities. I have sewn school bags, collected supplies, and donated them to the Church's Humanitarian program. I have driven people to Chemotherapy, organized youth activities, played piano for the children, sang in quite a few choirs, taken meals into the sick, taught Sunday school, and other things that have been asked of me. Serving to me is the very essence of the gospel of Christ. That is what he spent his time doing and if I want to be like Him, I need to do the things that he would do. I know there are many more things that I should be doing, but this gospel is about becoming, not just doing. So each day I have the choice to DO something that will help me BECOME more like my Savior.
