Hi I'm Ashley

I live in Colorado. I'm a SIDS mom. I'm a wife. I'm a blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Texas and moved to Colorado when I was 8 years old. I married my husband 10 years ago and we have 6 beautiful children, 5 on this earth and our son who passed away from SIDS at 4 months old. My husband is a local police officer and I am a stay at home mom. I have been playing guitar since I was 9 years old. I love to sing, dance and have fun. I enjoy throwing parties and socializing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and as a child came to church because it was what we just did. I got my own testimony of the gospel as I got older. I live the gospel because I have found that I am most happy when I live the principals we are taught. I love how our gospel is all about your family because they are the most important thing to me. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, I know that it is true. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today who speaks the truth and gives us guidance from our Heavenly Father. I have a strong testimony of the Plan of Salvation and without that knowledge I would know that I would be struggling, it gives me so much peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week. I have held many different callings in my ward. Currently I am called to the Canning Specialist, I educate the ward on the importance of having a year storage of food/supplies/etc., as well as helping in the bishops store house (where we do our canning). I am also a visiting teacher and this happens to be one of my favorite callings in the church because it allows me to meet other women in our ward and visit them, get to know them and help another person/family. Basically a visiting teacher is way to make new friends and to make everyone in our church feel included.
