Hi I'm Ben

I love life as a student, a husband, and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love adventure. You name it. Outings, camping, hiking, climbing, swimming, sports and spending quiet time with the family are all a part of who I am. I am a young husband, father, and student preparing for a career in dentistry. It's been a good challenge balancing time with family, work, school and church; but I am always up for a good challenge. My wife and I have a little boy and we have another on the way. I absolutely love being a father. As demanding as it can sometimes be, it is so much fun to raise a child. It has been a relationship builder for my wife and me to raise our little boy together. We make time to go to the park, take walks together, go to church, and to just spend good quality time together. I am so happy to have the church in my life because it has made all the difference.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, and my parents were both raised in the church as well. While this is the case, I'm a member of the church today because of my faith that it is Christ's church. I owe my happiness in life to my faith in Jesus Christ. Ever since I was young, I have been interested in learning about the purpose of life and its mysteries. It is my involvement in this church that has opened my eyes to a world full of meaning and value. Like most people, I have had struggles and challenges in life, but I have a confidence that these challenges can be overcome through diligent efforts to follow and believe Christ. I wouldn't say that being a member of the church and learning about the gospel has made life easier, I don't know that it makes life easier for anyone. But it makes me stronger, better able to cope with life when challenges come, and better equipped to get back up when I make mistakes. It's about becoming a better husband and father. It's about being a better friend. That's what being a Mormon is all about - it's about repentance and forgiveness and family. I love it with all my heart and wouldn't trade it for the world.

How I live my faith

My goal in life is to be the best family man that I can be, and to me this means being serious about my faith in Christ. My wife and I have made goals to make church activity a main focus in life. It's more than just church on Sunday - we work to have meaningful experiences everyday of the week. In our home, we work to have family scripture readings and prayer on a daily basis, even on the busy days. It has really made a positive impact on our lives. We enjoy attending activities and socials with other members in our area.
