Hi I'm Tevita

I like to Jam out and laugh hard. I like a good ghost story.I have a mechanical heart, I'm a Nerd and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I was born in California and moved over to Florida when I was 13. I'm 22 now and serving in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I like to sing with my ukulele and jam with my friends. I also like to dance, a "popper" you might say. I am a connoisseur of music, I like the way a song, beat or rhythm can make you feel. I am a food finder as well, if I had time I would like to cook. Cooking shows always motivated me get into the kitchen and cook something, that or it made me hungry. I like rugby, football and basketball. I'm better off watching them than playing them. I want to be an athletic trainer, that will keep me in the field without having to play. I actually joined athletic training program in high school, due to the fact that I couldn't play. No, but when I was 15 years old I had open heart surgery, and that prevented me from being on the actual team. It was due to strep Throat and progressed to Rheumatic Fever and then a heart mur-mur. Non-the-less I still wanted to be on the field and so I joined the athletics training program. I will admit because of the surgery it is a struggle every now and then because I take certain types of medicine, make sure that have a cardiologist wherever I go. I am stronger now because of this experience. It helped me enjoy life a lot more. One of my favorites quotes came from one my teachers, she said "be the ruler of your day. today is what you make of it, Rule it."

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was raised in the Church, grew up with the belief system in me, but all of that didn't really do anything for me unless I had a testimony for myself. I read the Book of Mormon for myself and Prayed about it. The night that I finished the Book of Mormon I prayed and God if this book was true. I have never taken the missionary discussions or even thought praying for the Book of Mormon. The book itself told me that I needed to pray and ask God in specifically Moroni 10:3-5, No one told me to pray about it. Simply I took it as an invitation from my Father in Heaven that he wanted me to ask about the Book of Mormon. I knew that the bible was true, so why couldn't this book be true too. The answer immediately came to me after I finished my prayer. This book was true, and The spirit let me know that it was true. Therefore if this book was true than everything else was true. That the Book of Mormon plus the Bible is the complete Gospel of God. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I serve others daily and strive to keep all the commandments of God. Its a trial, but anything worth working for is something worth working for. I also try build Christ-like attributes to help me become a better person; Attributes like faith, humility, obedience, diligence...etc. things that will help become a better person.
